Reddit glossary
What is Disclosure on Reddit?
Disclosure means saying plainly that you are connected to the product, company or link you are mentioning.
On Reddit it is usually a short phrase in the same comment, like "I work on this" or "I'm the founder".
Many communities require it. Even where nobody asks, readers trust a recommendation more when they know where it comes from.
If you are promoting something
Always disclose. It costs you nothing, and being found out later costs you a lot.
