Reddit glossary
What is AMA on Reddit?
AMA stands for ask me anything, a post or live event where people ask one person or a team questions.
Anyone can ask, and the host answers in the comments. Some communities have a formal process, and the mods may need to approve your AMA first.
AMAs work best when the host has a real story or real expertise and is ready to answer hard questions honestly.
If you are promoting something
Do not run an AMA as an ad. If you have something people truly want to ask about, talk to the mods first and be ready to stay for hours.
